Hosted at First Presbyterian Church and prepared by area church volunteers, this hot lunch is open to anyone in the community every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
The Deacons host two dinners for the community each year: the Turkey Dinner in December on the Bellefonte Victorian Christmas weekend and the Ham Dinner on Palm Sunday. The dinners are free, relying on donations from church members and the Deacons Fund. The purpose of the dinners is to feed the hungry in the Bellefonte community and to welcome them in our midst. Jesus welcomes all people to believe in Him and to be a part of His Church.
Through the ministry of the Deacons, the congregation collects food to distribute monthly to over 30 individuals and families in Bellefonte. Mascots Wooly & Woolina encourage the congregation during the Lenten season to collect specific items needed for the Food Pantry.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Whether they are called Prayer Shawls, Comfort Shawls, Peace Shawls, or Mantles, the shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient. The intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl. Upon completion, a final blessing is offered before the shawl is sent on its way.
Prayer Chain Ministry
Members of FPC provide a ministry through prayer. If you need support through prayer, send in your requests.
